A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.

Meet Our Talented Jurors
Finding the right jurors to determine the most talented artists to participate in our beloved fair is no small feat; that's why we search far and wide to bring in the most qualified artistic eyes. This year we're fortunate to have the prestige of these two fellow artists!
Macy Dorf
In 1967, Chicagoan Macy Dorf graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with an MFA in ceramicsIn 1973, Macy left Littleton for a ceramics apprenticeship in the famed community of ceramic artists, La Borne, France. For two years he assisted a master ceramic artist in fabricating large sculptures that were fired in La Borne’s enormous wood-fired kilns. He set up his studio at what was then known as Santa Fe Pottery at 747 Santa Fe Drive. In time, Macy purchased the building, not wanting to move his studio one more time. It has been renamed Artists on Santa Fe where he has his studio and gallery along with 29 other artists. It is located in the popular Art District on Santa Fe where First Friday gallery walks attract thousands of people each month. An I am still making both functional and sculptural ceramics.
